Orange TicTacs are like Candy.

Thank you for the cookies Grandma! They're delicious as always. Kate, Matt, Lindsay D., Michelle, John, Amy, Nikki, Lindsay M., Emma, Stef, and Joe all say thank you and that they're the best cookies they ever had! : )
Between landscaping, lab proctoring, and classes I've been pretty busy. In my spare time however I managed to rearange my room again, it never stays the same for all that long.
I was at a Big Lots and they had lots of Halloween stuff on sale so I grabbed a few things for Mom and Dad for next year. I picked up a new cd, some black spider candle holders, "jute" which is this creepy spider webby/wound rope stuff, and a glow in the dark skeleton all for only ten dollars!
So yesterday Kate and I went to Long Island. Her cousin Amanda was having a family get together for her birthday and Kate wanted me to meet everybody. I think I got most the names and faces, but the family was too big for me to catch everybody the first time around. Still it was alot of fun and it was nice to get to meet her father and see her mom and Brendan again. We got some work done after, then the next day went to the beach and went bowling. Kate's so sweet that she treated me to all this. Thanks darling! : )
So in an attempt to get ourselves organized and keep on track with school I printed out calendars for Kate and I. We each have a Nov08-Dec09 calendar now which helps us to note important dates and keep a running to do list for our classes and clubs, very handy!
On Friday night I made a vegiterian chili, the same I made over the summer, again for Kate, Jen, Eric and I. Jen is Kates sister and Eric her boyfriend. Just like before it was a dish delish! Then we watched The Wizard of Oz. Great Night. : )
I promised a picture of Kates Halloween costume in a previous post and now I finally have one for you guys!
P.S. I was just on freecycle for ulster county and somebody was offering rabbit poop. . .

Paltzoween!
The town does Halloween like Mom and Dad would love : ) All the businesses get into it, there's a huge town parade, and everybody gets dressed up for the whole weekend. For a week before and a week after there are tons of Halloween parties. This place is crazy! And the parade isn't just little kids either! Everybody partakes. The college kids, townies, and little youngins all walk, it's great. Here's some Paltzoween for you!
Down the street from us our neighbors cleverly warned against playing in their yard and on Main Street, Mannys Art Supply depicted a small dino-child being terrorized by an insane piece of candy. Oh how silly!

Yay Sunday, Boo Monday.
Yesterday was amazing. I got to go on a road trip with my best friend Matt, see almost
everybody back home, and have dinner with my girlfriend Kate. Matt and I headed out around 10:00am and got out of the Paltz. We drove home to JerseyJerz and the drive was really nice, but passing the scene of the accident on the Rt24W exit from 287S was a little unnerving. Then we were back in familiar terriroty though, well, I was anyway, and I started touring Matt around. I showed him downtown Madison, Chatham, the schools, where The Pet Center used to be and then we went home, well, again, I did anyway.
I got to see almost everybody, the only one I missed was Pat, but I'm sure I'll be able to see him if I can make it home for Friday. Matt said I might be able to
borrow his car. Eek! He's going to let me take that ramp again? Maybe I'll go home on Rt10W instead. Anyway I got to hang out with my mom, dad, and Pam for quite a while and I got to see Annie and Chuck for just a bit before I had to leave. Matt and I somehow wound up taking back a whole boatload of stuff that I didn't plan on, but whatcha gonna do. Mom gave me lots of delicious food to bring back, yummy! I took alot of pictures around the house for school and had a great time!
Then when Matt and I got back we went shopping and each prepared to make a nice dinner. I was having Kate over so I made chicken parmesian and pasta. A dish delish indeed : ) Then she had to go to work, boo, so I got to doing some homework myself. I woke up around midnight on my keyboard though, oops!
Now it's Monday and I have classes and lots of homework. Poop : (

Miss Meeko Socks
So I've learned this, that when living with a bunch of girls any random animals you find will be issued horrible names.
Miss Meeko Socks being a perfect example, was unfortunately bestowed upon my new found feline friend. One fine New Paltz morning I went up to convienent before class to get some breakfast. I had been borrowing Kates car so I could get to work which made the trip all that much more convienent. (HaHa, get it? . . ) Anyways, when I step out of the door here comes a little kitten bolting towards me. I bend down expecting it to run away in fear, but it instead jumps on my lap. I pet it for a second and then continue on my way back to my room only to find this dog of cats following me home. Well, he came right inside to follow me upstairs and right into my room. Not knowing what to do I let him stay a while and bought him some cheap cat food. Over the course of the day I discovered that he was a she who loved to sleep and apparently got around town. After describing her to several of my friends they informed me that they had also had a run in with this kitten. Well John wanted to name him boots for his white feet, but Nikki decided that was too cliche and socks was much more original. . . beats me. . . Kate and I however were deadset on Meeko and so Miss Meeko Socks was named. Oy vei. After a while I decided against having cat doodoo in my room so I let him back out before he could go to the bathroom. A few hours go by and as I'm laying down to bed Nikki and Amy knock on my door and say, "Craig, we have a friend." Meeko had come back so of course I had to let her stay the night, after all it was so cold outside! It's been two days and no word from the Meekster, but I'll keep you guys posted on New Paltz's Pet!

Welcome to my blog!
So it seems I am a little behind on this blogging business, but here I am now to calm this growing sense of disconection with my family. Without the time to stay as much in touch as I'd like I find myself out of the loop and oddly aloof from my roots and I don't much care for it. So I give you my blog which I hope to be able to update at the very least bi-weekly so between all our blogs we'll have the households covered. I hope to keep the right hand side updated with my recent photography for school so you have to something to please your eyes while you read my rants about school and life in the paltz. Hope you guys enjoy and I get to hear back from you!
Love,
Craig
